The 28-year-old man was stabbed in a fight sparked over cutting in line at a Popeyes location in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
"We have been able to determine, preliminarily, that this is related to the release of the sandwich here at this restaurant," Donelan said."This individual was in line specifically for the sale of the sandwich when another customer and he got into an altercation and that ended with the victim being stabbed outside of the business."
She also urged the suspect, described only as an adult male, to turn himself in."We are looking for a male and that male knows who he is, he knows what he did here tonight and he needs to do the right thing and he needs to step up and he needs to turn himself in."
