A few minutes after officers arrived, the man walked out the store with a handgun and “immediately started firing his weapon toward officers,” the release said.They performed “life-saving measures” until medical personnel arrived to take him to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to the release. His identity has not yet been released.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing and more information is expected to be released in the coming days..
