A man has been charged after a woman alleged she was assaulted and abandoned on the hard shoulder of the M55.
The two officers inside sustained minor injuries and the car was soon involved in another incident as it collided with multiple parked cars along Warley Road, as well as a lamppost. A man made off on foot, but was arrested soon after.Lancashire Constabulary today confirmed that Alan Greenhow, 39, of The Copse, Palacefields, Runcorn has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"A short time later officers attempted to speak to a man, in relation to the assault, who was inside a car on a car park on Dickson Road, Blackpool. The man drove at a police vehicle before making off. Fortunately the two officers in the police car at the time only suffered minor injuries.
