According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Benjamin Pierce called 911 on Friday morning and reported that he had stabbed his wife to death at a home near Katy. He died in jail the following day, authorities confirmed.

A 7-year-old child was also at the home but was not injured. The child was released to a family member.
