RCMP said a 34-year-old man from De Grau was arrested after police received information about online child exploitation activity from the FBI. - FileCAPE ST. GEORGE-PETIT JARDIN-GRAND JARDIN-DE GRAU-MARCHES POINT-LORETTO, N.L. — Police have arrested and charged a 34-year-old man from De Grau in connection with a child pornography investigation.
The arrest comes after officers searched a home in De Grau, on Newfoundland's Port au Port Peninsula, in June 2022. Police said the search was related to a report of online child exploitation activity received from the FBI. During the search, several electronic items were seized and sent for forensic analysis, leading to the arrest of Troy Rouzes on March 20, 2023.He is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Stephenville on April 17.
