One woman was punched in the neck; police say the assailant was trying to force victims into their homes with the intent to rape them
An assailant tried to grab three women in separate incidents last weekend, and punched one of them in the neck, before attempting to force each of them into their homes in an El Cajon neighborhood, police said Monday.
Police said they have evidence to believe the attacker intended to rape or sexually assault the victims.The department was alerted to the incident shortly before 7 p.m Saturday, when several 911 callers reported a “homeless man trying to break in” to homes on Elizabeth Way, in a residential development southeast of Jamacha Road and Granite Hills Drive, police said in a news release.
Three women said a man had grabbed them and tried to force each of them inside their homes, police said.When the assailant followed a fourth victim into her home, he found a resident there — a father who was with his children — when he walked in. Medlock was arrested on suspicion of charges including kidnapping and assault with the intent to commit rape.
