The man remained on the roof until the early hours of the morning
A man has been arrested after climbing onto a roof in Blackpool and throwing objects in a five-hour siege.
Pictures from the scene showed a cordon in place and several police vehicles stationed nearby. The force said this allowed them to deal with the incident and ensure public safety and buses and other traffic was being diverted away from the area.The man remained on the roof until 1.25am this morning . A 41-year-old man from Blackpool was arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in custody for questioning.
