A man accused of killing a 24-year-old woman in Phoenix over the weekend is now in jail.Per a Phoenix Police statement released on May 7, the suspect, who is allegedly in the United States illegally, turned himself in to border agents at Lukeville after initially fleeing the country.Here are the details.Court documents identified the suspect as 32-year-old Eduardo Galindo-Ramirez.
During a call that investigators were listening in on, Galindo-Ramirez admitted to stabbing and killing the victim following a fight. Afterwards, he allegedly fled to Nogales in a car before ditching the car, walked across the U.S.-Mexico Border, and boarded a bus to Puerto Penasco, also known as "Rocky Point."In that same call, Galindo-Ramirez said he wanted to turn himself in, but did not have enough money to get back to Nogales.
