BARBERTON, Ohio — A 61-year-old man was found dead in a house fire late Wednesday night, authorities say. Barberton firefighters found David Polefko, 61, on the living room floor of the home on the 400 block of 17th Street NW in Barberton, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office. The medical examiner’s office has completed an autopsy but says results are pending.
The fire was reported just after 10 p.m. Wednesday. When firefighters arrived, flames were coming from the front window of the residence, authorities say.
