On Thursday, Anna’s youngest sister Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson confirmed reports that “Chickadee” had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in January.
“& this is what I mean when I say you never truly know what somebody is going through at home. no matter how famous they are,” the former “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star, 17, wrote on her Instagram Stories.
“yes, I’m very famous but normal sh–t happens to me and my family & y’all need to realize that asap.” Anna’s youngest sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, confirmed the stunning diagnosis on Thursday.A source added that her relatives have stepped up to help with her daughters, Kaitlyn, 10, and Kylee, 7, the latter of whom she shares with ex-husband Michael Cardwell.
Since the news of her health battle broke fans have flooded Anna’s Instagram posts with prayers for her recovery.“My love and prayers to you and your family ❤️ God is so good just stay strong,” wrote one follower. “I’m so sorry to hear the news Anna. You can beat this tho! I just beat stage 4 cancer at the age of 17, if I can do this so can you!!!! It’ll be a long road but your [sic] a fighter!” commented another.
