Visser's first on-set makeup experience was on a David LaChapelle shoot. It came out of a chance encounter with makeup artist David Hernandez at a Make Up For Ever store in L.A. Visser was in sixth grade. His sophomore year in high school he started commuting to Calabasas five mornings a week to do the makeup of a local mom named Kris Jenner .
For the last two years, like the rest of us, Visser has lived in a world more digital than he has ever known. "Everyone's been wanting to watch something, and feel inspired by something," he says. "We couldn't plan [projects] so it was like, 'let’s justsomething.' Of course I've had moments [during the pandemic] of feeling so low but I think inspiration often gets birthed in the low.
