The production version of the rugged-looking concept will come fitted with Mahindra's next-generation diesel engine
, it will be powered by the next generation of the aluminum mHawk diesel engine and will be paired with 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions. Power will be transmitted to all four wheels through a proper 4WD system, with four selectable drive modes . The truck is also said to feature Level-2 ADAS capability, semi-automatic parking, and 5G connectivity, alongside generous SUV-like comfort and technology equipment.
The Pik Up moniker is already used in the truck variant of the Scorpio Classic, hinting that the new model could serve as its successor. Note that the Scorpio N that debuted in 2022 is currently sold in India alongside a refreshed variant of itspredecessor, so Mahindra could use a similar strategy for the trucks in certain countries.
The rollout of the Mahindra Scorpio N Pik Up will reportedly start in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East, before being introduced in more countries in the ASEAN and Latin America regions.
