Be prepared M55
In order for work to be carried out on the gantries, the carriageway will be shut eastbound and westbound from Monday, January 9 and Friday, January 13. It will be in force place between junction 1 and three between 9pm and 6am each night.
A spokesperson for Blackpool Council said: "Overnight closures are planned on the M55 in both directions from Monday 9 January until Friday 13 January, between 9pm and 6am. Please plan your journey in advance."Overnight closures have also been planned for Blackpool Road and Riversway. The westbound carriageway will be closed between 9pm and 6am on January 16 - January 20.
The eastbound carriageway will be close between 9pm and 6am on January 23 and January 27. During this time, motorists are being urged to diversion routes and plan your journey ahead.
