The price of Lurpak is 36% dearer these days
If there was one essential on your weekly shopping list, it was a simple tub of butter - but that may have changed recently.
As the inflation squeezed households, the cost of Lurpak butter caught the attention of many shoppers online after 500g tubs were spotted retailing up to £9 in some retailers, while others spotted it on sale for £5. Basic items have seen some of the biggest increases, with pasta and vegetable oil now costing double the cost they did back in 2022.
