The Lucky grocery store will permanently close in April.
“Lucky has been serving the community for decades and we will remain committed to serving the community at our full-service Novato Lucky store located at 1761 Grant Ave.,” Save Mart said in a statement. “By closing the Lucky store on 570 Magnolia Ave., we will be able to reallocate our resources and focus on the other stores in the area.”
At this time, it’s unclear what business will take over the 570 Magnolia Ave. space and if Save Mart plans to debut another Lucky supermarket at a different Larkspur location. The grocery store first opened in Larkspur in 1982 and is the only Lucky site in the city.
