The corps will work with community groups to ID emerging neighborhood concerns and work with the city to fix them.
L.A. City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto announced on Tuesday, Oct. 3, a new legal division within her office dedicated to improving the quality of life in neighborhoods across the city.
According to a representative from the City Attorney’s Office, the corps has been in the planning stages since Feldstein Soto took office. Composed of attorneys and legal professionals with experience in civil and criminal law, the corps will take preventative and proactive measures to address a variety of issues impacting neighborhoods and establish partnerships to resolve problems that enforcement cannot always adequately address, according to the City Attorney’s Office.
