Lori Loughlin has agreed to plead guilty in the college admissions scandal and will spend two months in jail

Loughlin and Giannulli were scheduled to go on trial in October on charges they allegedly paid $500,000 to get their daughters into the University of Southern California as crew recruits even though neither girl was a rower.The Hollywood couple were among 16 parents indicted on the charge of money laundering conspiracy for their involvement in the scandal. The charge came with a possible maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. The couple was also charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud.

The two, along with 48 others, were arrested after federal prosecutors in Boston unsealed a criminal complaint last March which charged all with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud for allegedly cheating the collegiate system in order for their children to be admitted into upper-echelon universities.

Actress Felicity Huffman was also ensnared in the scandal. She pleaded guilty last May and was sentenced to 14 days in prison, a $30,000 fine and 250 hours of community service. She reported to prison Oct. 15, 2019 and released from prison on Oct. 25.
