The Arvada Police Department has a new chief.
Ed Brady, who has served with theannounced the appointmentBrady, who has served the department as deputy chief since December 2014, was chosen as part of an internal search process, according to the release.
“Ed is the right choice to serve the City organization and Arvada residents,” Mayor Marc Williams stated in the release. “His leadership will guide the Arvada Police Department through the opportunities and challenges facing our community.” Brady started with the department in 1994 and has served in various positions, including field training officer and firearms instructor. He worked as a West Metro Drug Task Force investigator from February 1999 to May 2003. Brady was promoted to the rank of commander with APD in 2007. He is a graduate of the
