Logitech has launched a stylus designed specifically for use in schools
Logitech has released a new stylus aimed specifically at Chromebook-wielding kids in the classroom.
The Logitech Pen has been designed to withstand the rough and tumble of school life. Logitech claims the Pen will survive drops of up to 4ft, that it’s spill resistant and that the device can be cleaned with disinfectants. What’s more, the replaceable tip on the end of the Pen can only be removed with pliers, avoiding a choking hazard.
The rubber-clad stylus has a triangular shape, which the company claims makes it easier for smaller hands to grip, and it supports up to 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The built-in rechargeable battery offers up to 15 days of school use, which Logitech quantifies as 2.5 hours of active use per day. A 30-second charge will breathe 30 minutes of life back into the device if pupils forget to charge it. However, the device can only be charged via a USB-C port - there is no dock or mass charging unit for schools managing a fleet of these devices.Schools will also have to pay attention to the compatibility of their Chromebooks.
