United Way’s Harvest Algoma and Algoma Veterans offer brunch on a monthly basis, providing veterans with home-cooked meal and opportunity to socialize

Last Saturday, 17 local veterans attended the first-ever brunch hosted by Harvest Algoma and Algoma Veterans, where they enjoyed eggs, bacon, sausages, Johnny cakes, coffee and tea.

Following this philosophy, Harvest Algoma has recently joined forces with Algoma Veterans, a charity providing support to local veterans, to offer a monthly brunch program, providing these individuals with a hardy home-cooked meal, access to Harvest Algoma’s food pantry program and an opportunity to socialize and engage with each other.
