Prince George powerlifter sets world records every time he lifts at 52 years old.

“I have lifted since I was 13 and I lifted all throughout my teens and 20s,” Webber said. “I got into powerlifting when I was about 28 years old in 1998. I lived in Mackenzie and I trained by myself and I just needed a goal. I’ve always been competitive in my life playing sports and I started powerlifting. I would travel eight hours to go lift in these tiny little towns in Alberta and that’s how it all started for me.”“For me it’s the younger lifters here,” Webber said.

“I’ve been lifting since the 90s, I’ve had multiple injuries, I have two titanium shoulders, both my knees need to be operated on again, they’ve both been operated on before, tore both biceps off, had them reattached, so I’ve had multiple injuries. I just like training all the younger lifters. It keeps me motivated. I compete against them all the time and it keeps me going and I am inspired to keep lifting.”“My biggest thing is my squat,” Webber smiled.
