THUNDER BAY — City police officers have brought back a haul of hardware after competing at the 2023 World Police and Fire Games.
The biennial event was held in Winnipeg and brought more than 8,500 police officers and firefighters together to compete in various competitions like archery, bodybuilding, curling, table tennis and swimming and many others. Officers from Thunder Bay put everything they had into competing and brought back many medals for their efforts.
In total, five officers representing the city's police association brought home 10 gold medals, seven silvers and three bronze. Det.-Const. Shane Baker:
