Local hockey playoff scores and upcoming games
The busy weekend continues for local hockey leagues and their playoff games.
In Junior C playoffs, the Port Hope Panthers beat the Frankford Huskies 6 to 4 on Saturday, and now lead their best of 7 series 2 to 1. In the Eastern Ontario Super League, the Gananoque Islanders demolished the Tweed Oil Kings 7 to 1, now leading their best of 5 series 2 to 0.In the Junior A league, St Michaels is in Wellington to face the Dukes. The Dukes lead best of 7 2 to 0. The puck drops at 3:30.
In Junior C action, the Campbellford Rebels face the Picton Pirates at 7:30. The Pirates are leading the best of 7 series 2 to 0. The Tweed Oil Kings in the Eastern Ontario Super league are done for the weekend, and will face the Islanders again on Friday.
