'Tonight, I say this to my Republican colleagues who are defending the indefensible: There will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain,' Rep. Liz Cheney said during the House Jan 6. committee hearing on Thursday.
Cheney in her remarks placed the blame for the Jan. 6 attack squarely on the former president.
In fact, she cited testimony from administration staff who were in the West Wing on Jan. 6 saying that Trump was yelling and angry at advisers who told him he needed to take action to quell the violence. She also played clips from witness testimony and outlined some of the arguments and evidence the committee will present in the rest of this month's hearing.
