A busy road in Ilkeston is blocked in both directions due to a crash involving a bus. The incident on the A6096 Lower Stanton Road has caused queuing traffic due to the incident between Little Hallam Lane and Cavendish Road.
Pictures from the scene show a bus that appears to have been in a collision with a pole. Traffic monitoring company INRIX says the incident was first reported at 5.30pm on Thursday, March 30. It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the crash. But traffic is said to be backed up towards the town centre. INRIX reports: A6096 Lower Stanton Road in both directions blocked, queueing traffic due to accident between Little Hallam Lane and Cavendish Road. Congestion to the town centre on Stanton Road. The A609 Nottingham Road is also heavily congested.This is an unfolding incident.
