Looking for some relief from the heat? Here is a list of cooling centers opening up around the Bay Area.

For those using senior transportation in Walnut Creek, rides may be available to cooling centers. Call 943-5852 for information. The city will also open the senior center to cool people off from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday through Monday, when it says temperatures are projected to be highest. The city of Pleasanton is opening up a cooling venter at the library , open: Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. and at the Senior Center Monday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Water and light snacks will be provided.
