Lisa Maffia has asked her fans to pray for her mum after finding out that she's battling cancer again.
In October of 2020, the So Solid Crew star revealed her mum had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. At the time, Lisa told fans she felt "overwhelmed and panicked" ahead of her own appointment for a smear test. "Cancer can grow so quickly, by the time she started to get an ache in her leg and the constant bleeding that alerted her to go to the doctors — it was two years too late.
"Even if it is there, you have the first option of getting the cells burnt away and you can catch it quickly and you can live a normal life again."Shirley's chemotherapy and radiotherapy resulted in her losing a kidney. Following this, she went into remission for seven years but the cancer came back and spread all over her body.
