Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa announced their divorce after 16 years together and five years of marriage.

The longtime couple announced that they are in the process of divorcing via a joint statement on Momoa’son Wednesday as Bonet does not have any social media. “We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times…A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception…feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring,” their message began. “And so we share our Family news that we are parting ways in marriage.
The two actors first began dating in 2005 after they were introduced by a mutual friend at a jazz club. “We just happened to be in the right place at the right time,” Momoa toldin 2017 shortly after their marriage. “I actually had dreaded my hair for her. I had dreadlocks, she had dreadlocks. I literally turned around and I see her and she goes, ‘I’m Lisa.’ I turned around to my friend and I [scream]. I had fucking fireworks going off inside, man.
