'I learned to focus on myself and set the standards for myself.'
"I had never been comfortable in my own skin," Lindsey told POPSUGAR when asked why she wanted to gain weight. She described her mindset at the time as needing to be skinny and unhealthy. Because of this, she decided to joinin Tucson, AZ, to learn about nutrition and strength training.
Over the past four years, Lindsey has gained around 44 pounds, built muscle, and changed her relationship with food and exercise. Throughout her transformation, Lindsey said,"I learned that I loved feeling strong and gained a desire to continue pushing each day to be stronger than the last."
