Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said there are \u0022credible allegations\u0022 linking the Indian government to the death of a Sikh man in Surrey, B.C.
From the beginning, supporters of Nijjar alleged that India was behind the killing and now a statement to that effect has been made by the prime minister.
He also said that he raised this matter directly with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi “in no uncertain terms.” Media reports also said that Nijjar was involved in a 2007 cinema bombing in Ludhiana, India, that left six people dead. The reports claimed he had been running firearms training at camps near Mission, B.C. for sympathizers prepared to carry out attacks in India.
“It is contrary to the fundamental rules by which free, open and democratic societies conduct themselves,” Trudeau said.
