If anyone is importing American-style culture war politics, it’s the Liberal Party of Canada.Poilievre was a member of the Harper government for the almost 10 years they were in power, and never once did that government seek to restrict access to abortion. As for putting “assault weapons” into the streets, despite what he has claimed, Trudeau never took them away.
What he calls “assault weapons” are still sitting in the basements and gun safes of your neighbours because he has banned their use but can figure out how to run a “buy-back” program. By the way, gun crime hasn’t gone down due to this ban because these weren’t the guns used in crime anyway. The Liberals seemed desperate over the weekend, turning to guns and abortion — their favourite American imports — to try and scare people away from a Conservative leader who is growing in popularity. They also kept responding to Poilievre’s promises to restore affordability and cut taxes — including the carbon tax — with claims that Poilievre doesn’t have a good enough climate plan.There was an error, please provide a valid email address.
