An Ontario school board banned cops from career day, and helping those less fortunate, until public outrage shamed them.
The One-Stop Grad Shop program saw the Brantford community rally donations of dresses, suits, ties, shoes and other items to help Grade 8 graduates have nice clothes for prom. The program was started by a Brantford police officer and has gone on for years but was recently halted, according to police sources.
On what planet does someone think that all immigrants are afraid of police? What kind of warped white privilege does someone like Supt. Baker have to make this kind of claim? Lecce called on the board to reverse its decision, which they have done but only in the face of strong public and media backlash.
