Bradford, the son of a Liberal MP, says he has never belonged to a political party and considers himself a pragmatic centrist.
If elected Toronto’s next mayor, City Councillor Brad Bradford says he will continue John Tory’s work but do “more, faster” to address problems that have Torontonians feeling “frustrated” with life in the city.
“I think all of the folks who would like me to consider and take on the job are frustrated with the lack of action,” from government, said the Beaches-East York representative first elected in 2018 and re-elected last fall. “The direction is not a problem. We’re building infrastructure, we’re building housing. It’s about the speed at which we’re accomplishing those things.”
