Lifeguards rescue two people stranded at Sunset Cliffs cave [Breaking]
Two people who were stuck in a sea cave at Sunset Cliffs were rescued Sunday morning by San Diego lifeguards, an official said.
The U.S. Coast Guard alerted lifeguards about the need for a rescue around 7:15 a.m., San Diego lifeguard Lt. Brian Clark told OnScene TV.The two were transported to a hospital to be treated for exposure, said San Diego Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief Matt Nilsen. One of the people found was a 40-year-old man; details about the second person weren’t released.
OnScene TV reported the two were found wearing life preservers and said the rescue took place below Point Loma Nazarene University.
