Gardeners who produced giant pumpkins, zucchinis, tomatoes or sunflowers urged to take part in Algoma Farmers' Market contest, while expert advice offered to others
Your local library is getting into the spirit of fall by putting out a call to green thumbs who did well growing stuff in their gardens this year, and to others who did, well... not so well.Jeff Marshall, lead hand at the Bellevue Park Green House and local farmer is here to help, courtesy of the Sault Ste. Registration opens Sept. 20. Call the North Branch at 705-759-5248 or visit eventbrite for tickets to the "Gardening Fails" event. "If you grew a giant pumpkin this year, please bring it to the pavilion parking lot to be weighed," the library said in a news release.
