I found the citizenship ceremony to be very moving. The judge told a story about a little girl who had been in a displaced persons camp for several years, and how her life had changed so much for the better when she was brought to Canada. Then she said, “I was that little girl.”Article content Canada’s three closest allies — the U.S., the U.K and Australia — have signed a security deal, a trilateral defence agreement, known as AUKUS. The agreement in part will help Australia develop a fleet of nuclear-powered submarines in response to growing concerns about China’s actions.
