B.C. Cancer Agency oncologists deserve pay raises
Congratulations to Ben Hagwood and his students for a magnificent effort and results that will remain with them all their lives. Hagwood must be an excellent teacher and motivator.Premier David Eby is working hard to spend the surplus from the 2022-23 budget before the end of the fiscal year on March 31, 2023. That surplus is at least $5.5 billion and may be much more. If it isn’t spent by March 31, it is required that it be used to reduce the deficit.
They are what is referred to as a tax-and-spend government, and it appears that it is their intent to run a deficit no matter what.Article contentRecently, there have been several news items regarding cancer and alcohol consumption. A warning label on all such drinks has been proposed as the answer. No mention of the cost — and labelling alcohol with health hazard symbols will permit governments to pile on additional taxes.
