“School choice” hearkens to segregation, wherein affluent, mostly white, parents are subsidized for sending their children to private schools. In fact, unauthorized immigrants from Mexico contributed an estimated $9.8 billion in taxes in 2019. They do jobs no one else wants to do and keep our economy humming along. And, an educated population is to everyone’s benefit — regardless of immigration status!I was thrilled to read the story on the remarkable achievement of two scientists winning the Nobel Prize in medicine for their groundbreaking work on mRNA vaccines against COVID-19.
Let’s see. Philadelphia attendance — 45,662; Minneapolis attendance — 38,450; and Milwaukee attendance — 40,892. I guess no one works in those cities?
