Readers deplored city term limits; scolded state leaders on school funding; cautioned about poll results; and questioned Paxton’s motivations.recommends establishing a lifetime limit of eight years for Dallas City Council members and mayors, essentially to deny Dallas citizens the right to choose whom they want to be on the City Council and in the mayor’s office.
She isn’t the only prominent woman who has made such an announcement. Others of note include Texas Rep. Shawn Thierry of Houston, former congressional candidate Maud Maron of New York and Jennifer Sey of Colorado, former Levi’s executive.Gov. Greg Abbott graduated from Duncanville High School and was voted most likely to succeed. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick grew up in blue-collar Baltimore and was the leader of a Motown band in high school.
While politicians maneuver, Texas public schools are losing ground. The quality, security and community morale of Texas public schools are suffering. Why — is it money, votes, donors? All Texans deserve better.I remind everyone that a poll represents the bias of the conductor, the wording of the questions, the carefully selected demographics of the people being questioned and the bias of the article writers.
