Readers aren’t happy about development in McKinney; ask more questions of our senators about what happened at the Colleyville synagogue; and question the GOP’s support of our attorney general.
Yes, we have a city that will stop at nothing to force development next to existing single-family residences. It is a tragedy, and the ordinary citizen is powerless to stop the Planning and Zoning Committee and the City Council. If Sens. Ted Cruz and John Cornyn want an investigation into why the British citizen was able to enter our country, fly to Texas and obtain a firearm to take hostages at a synagogue, maybe they should also question why our governor and state Legislature passed a law making it easier to obtain a firearm without a background check or other safeguards. This would have been another step in preventing this incident.Our Texas senators are extremely concerned about U.S.
What maintains this ignorance until a family member requires hospitalization or dies? Is it not understanding recommendations by the medical profession? Because of this overt lack of concern by many, including Gov. Greg Abbot who has said little during the present resurgence, more than 1 million children have been infected and thousands admitted to hospitals.
