Thank you for shining a light on innovative programs to support those who care for family members with dementia. Dementia affects all racial and ethnic groups, although it has a disproportionate effect on Hispanics and African-Americans.The North Central Texas Council of Governments has received a federal grant to expand services for family caregivers who live throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
If initiatives and referendums were allowed, I wonder if Texas gun laws would change to better reflect the will of the citizens. I guess we’ll just have to live at the will of our state legislators.Flores really insults the National Rifle Association in her column. I’m also a proud Texas gun owner and a member of the NRA. I don’t always agree with NRA policies. The NRA has taught gun safety for decades with both printed material and in person classes.
