From the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, to this day, America has been a unique experiment. Unlike many nations, the United States places its destiny in the hands of her people.
In the middle, we can live and let live, not worrying excessively about what other people are thinking or doing in their private lives or being overly controlled by a zealous government. We already have overbuilt windmills and solar panels in very remote locations. We have more renewables than anybody and we have an unbalanced power grid. Adding transmission wires that go to the remote parts of our state will add nothing to the grid’s capacity. That expensive and environmentally unfriendly construction will only encourage the subsidized development of more windmills.
