Letters to the Editor
Readers believe Dallas should be cutting builder fees; agree with Peggy Wehmeyer’s column on Christian evanglicals; appreciate the programs that help ex-prisoners; and remain optimistic about the Texas Rangers.
Re: “I watched the evangelical revolution — But I’m wondering: Will my tribe pick up a cross or a club this Easter?” by Peggy Wehmeyer, Sunday Opinion.Wehmeyer brought me to tears with her poignant essay. As a thoughtful Christian, she poses thought-provoking observations and questions about our current state of affairs in America. I love her heart and her expressions of concern.. Most of the time, I disagree with her views, but this column about the evangelical revolution was wonderful.
Thank you for a reason to hope for a better future! This story highlights one of the problems faced by those released from prison — a disconnect from the world beyond prison. Wanting to work and become a productive member of society aren’t possible when your skills have atrophied.
