As I sat with my family watching fireworks, I reflected on the many blessings of being a citizen of the United States. Many may defend the liberties we have....
I was blessed to work in a Veterans Administration hospital as a teenager and saw the price our men and women paid firsthand. It had a lasting impact on me.
My decision also is to help the environment. Science just might save our planet after all. We have to do our parts and this is a huge way to do so. This is a win-win on so many levels. I do hope that the price of lab-grown meat is set at a level consumers will be willing to pay. Our pocketbooks will be a defining factor.
I am so excited to see something so amazing in my lifetime. Less inhumane practices, less environmental harm, less disease and a way to feed the millions of starving people here and in other countries. Oh well, I’m heading to the kitchen to eat my free-range egg and my plant-based sausage.Garland residents may have noticed that the Winters Park soccer field, by Hawaiian Waters, has been fenced off and the gates locked.
