“If you haven’t guessed by now what Adams does for a living: Yup, he’s a home builder. All taxpayers just wrote him a check to kick start his sagging business,” writes Jim in Salt Lake City.

House Speaker Brad Wilson, R-Kaysville, and Senate President Stuart Adams, R-Layton, are shown on opening day of the 2023 Legislative session, on Tuesday, Jan. 17.With Senate President Stuart Adams being a member in good standing of the far right conspiracy theorists of the Republican Party, I am a little skeptical anytime he does something good for his constituents and not just further his own agenda.

I kept reading and there it was in the fine print: Good for new construction only. All of a sudden, this great deed started looking more like a taxpayer-funded stimulus for home builders. Especially since new home construction and sales have been in steady decline since last August. If you haven’t guessed by now what Adams does for a living: Yup, he’s a home builder. All taxpayers just wrote him a check to kick start his sagging business.
