A cold snap has started
The weather is expected to be cooler on Monday as temperatures drop following threats of a 'polar vortex'.
A 'stratospheric polar vortex' could impact temperatures in Leeds quite severely this week, with reports it could cause up to seven inches of snow to hit the region - the vortex will see temperatures start to drop today . The Met Office said: "Dry with sunny spells throughout. Windy at first, gradually easing from the west. Feeling colder than Sunday. A band of rain will quickly move southwards overnight, accompanied by strengthening winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C."Scroll down for the forecast in Leeds today.
Leeds Leeds will start Monday with a sunny day from 9am until 1pm. The afternoon will turn slightly cloudy with sunny intervals at 2pm - the city will turn sunny again until 4pm before turning cloudy. It will remain cloudy throughout the night until Tuesday morning.Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday: Sunny spells and blustery showers on Tuesday. Very windy. Further sunny spells and scattered showers on Wednesday. Winds easing. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading east Thursday.
