The West Yorkshire airport received just one star out of five from visitors ranking its security queues
Leeds Bradford Airport has been slammed for its security queues in a new ranking of airport customer satisfaction.
Out of the 29 airports ranked, Leeds Bradford Airport came 21st. It received an average score of 52% for customer satisfaction from 211 respondents - though did beat bigger airports like Manchester and three Heathrow terminals.LBA also received one star ratings for its range of shops and the prices inside those shops. Consumers ranked it two stars for seating, staff and toilets.
The survey follows a summer of reports of long queues stretching outside the building at the airport in Yeadon. When LeedsLive flew from LBA in June, the security queue stretched through the airport and took one hour and ten minutes - though staff were making sure people didn't miss flights by getting people from the queues.
"We apologise to impacted passengers and welcome all feedback, as we use this to improve our services moving forwards, especially as we look to modernise our existing terminal. We remain committed to delivering the best passenger experience possible at LBA and strive to operate an airport the region can be proud of.”
