The Ontario New Democrats are levelling new allegations against Doug Ford’s PC government when it comes to forced urban boundary expansions in parts of the province.
She says it shows the Conservatives knew their “unilateral decisions to pave over greenspace and farmland by expanding urban boundaries were wrong, but proceeded anyway.” They say the leaked memo raised “possible contentious issues” about the PC’s ministerial amendments in April 2023 to municipal official plans in Waterloo, Wellington County, Guelph, Barrie, Belleville and Peterborough.
