One creative League of Legends fan created a gorgeous anime-style opening credits that looks good enough to be from an Arcane spinoff show.
A talented League of Legends fan made a beautiful anime intro that would be perfect to open an Arcane spin-off show. League of Legends is a popular MOBA game with a player base that has been known to rival all of Steam. The game features a cast of over 100 playable champions, which often inspire League of Legends players to create incredible fan art and cosplays of League champions.
Riot Games did not release any games other than League of Legends for many years after the release of their flagship game. In recent years, however, Riot has been expanding its property drastically. Riot has released several major titles in the past few years and several more are known to be on the way. Although it is not a game, Arcane, Riot's Netflix show which debuted at the end of 2021 is possibly Riot's greatest success since League of Legends was released in 2009.
Unsurprisingly, the anime intro heavily features Yone and Yasuo, two of League of Legends' most popular characters. The brothers Yasuo and Yone are often seen in cinematics released by Riot, and are modeled on samurai, making them right at home in an anime intro. Ahri, the Nine-Tailed Fox also appears in the intro. Ahri is also a very popular champion in League of Legends and recently received a small-scale rework to her kit.
The intro itself is extremely well made, with excellently animated scenes that perfectly capture both characters from the game and the essence of an anime opening. The music is exactly in the right style, even featuring the expected switch to English vocals and upbeat accompaniment. Everything about the intro demonstrates talent, skill, and hard work functioning in concert to create an amazing overall result.
