A class-action lawsuit claims Burger King is misrepresenting the size of its burgers in its advertisements, making them larger than they are in real life.

Burger King is misrepresenting the size of its burgers in its advertisements, making them larger than they are in real life.

“Although the size of the Whopper increased materially in Burger King’s advertisements, the recipe or the amount of beef or ingredients contained in Burger King’s Whopper has never changed,”The plaintiffs in the lawsuit are seeking damages and a stop to the company’s advertisements. They want to represent customers who purchased menu items they say have been “overstated” since September 2017.

“Burger King’s actions are especially concerning now that inflation, food and meat prices are very high and many consumers, especially lower-income consumers, are struggling financially,” the lawsuit says., adding that the chain does not comment on “pending or potential litigations.”
